Eliot Lipp SE '012 Tour Wrap-Up... now onto Austin Tx?

With shows selling out along the tour, and some simply put 'good people', I don't think there's much that could have gone better on this tour. Starting at the Zydeco in Birmingham AL, taking over the Carolina's at the Orange Peel, Music Farm, the Soapbox, Boone Saloon, Greene Street Club. Then smoothed on over to TN with a show at Chattanooga's Rhythm & Brews, and 2 in Knoxville, Glass is Art and the most massive and beautiful Valarium. Just as we were ready for some New York street food there was one more show in Charlotte NC at the Neighborhood Theatre.

This week you can see Eliot Lipp tear shit up with Marty Party in Baltimore on 2/15 or in DC on 2/16, then he's onto the west coast to sweeten up San Francisco on 2/17.

In Charlotte I was able meet and dot some lower-case j's with Charlotte's own photo badass, Shaun SicImages Hollingsworth, who has been making mad waves with his BassNectar NYE shots ending up on em effin ROLLING STONE .com (here|here|here). Glad to have made that connect.

Currently enjoyin' life with my lady in New York City, stayin' in a squat house on Ave C, have access to some of the worlds most amazing art collections, meeting some of the best people yet, and visited 5ptz which simply blew me away... one of the most inspirational cities I could have ever imagined.

Next stop Austin TX, with a week of February to spare Mary Margaret and I will be helping with some art installations in honor of SxSW. With some after-parties and possible SxSW press passes up in the air, I have a feeling Austin is gonna live up to my mental image of this bright and magical city. Looking into Coachella & Nocturnal Wonderland for April... So pumped.

Swaggin' off on the Southside

We put up the next edition to my portfolio on the North side of the Discoteca building on Main Street. The piece was put up, painted, and re-painted over the course of a couple weeks. The 6 times it was defaced were for the most part expected, so we just repainted, and pressed on. Here's some photos...

A Subterranean kind of Krampus Day

Walking into Jj's with 3 Krampus' runnin a'muck, the night definitely started well. It opened with Unspoken Triumph melting faces from the start, followed by some butthole puckering acts from our sideshow badasses, Subterranean Circus.

Performances ranging from amazing rope escapes and bending rebar with just neck skin to lifting kegs with eye sockets and a mandible piercing, our Circus raged and amazed the night.

Finishing the night with some more of our local metal GODS, soothing the late nighters with the music of Oxxen.

I plan on celebrating every X-mas season the Krampus way... definitely better photos

Teaming up with Alex Dehart, Matt Bohannon, Chris Anderson, and using a photo from Ashlee Owens taken with my camera, we put up this badass piece of amazing.

If you are interested in seeing the piece in person, it is located on the old Pruett's building on Cherokee Blvd, kind of between the Krystal and Sluggo's North.

The photos are from Dexfest '011, of Mary Margaret Lavoie, and from an after party at the DangLabs, of myself Mr. David Ruiz. The lettering and design of the type were raged together by Alex and Matt, along with the color scheme decisions of their contribution. The pieces were put up over the course of 3 seperate days, only a few hrs each, with the pasting handled by Alex, Matt, Chris, and myself.

I love seeing this on one of our many naked walls in Chattanooga, if you want more let me know how rad you think it is and me and my folks will get to imagining some new beauty for you guys.

Josh Sable and Maria Jordania tied the knot so they threw a badass party. With noise from: Mr. Enok, Smooth Dialects, SkyHi Funk Band, Deep Fried 5, and Machines are People too. I was a little late for Mr. Enok, but got some amazing photos of the rest of the night... Enjoy
